Hand, wrist and elbow physiotherapy
I qualified in Physiotherapy in 2004 from Brunel University. I gained experience in all physiotherapy specialties including hands, burns and plastics in 2005. In 2008 I focused solely on the field of Burns, Plastics and Hand therapy at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital before moving to the Pulvertaft Hand Unit, Derby in 2009. I worked as a locum hand therapist from 2014-2015 in the northwest based out of Blackburn hand therapy department. I commenced working within Spire Manchester in January 2015 in which I work as the specialist hand and wrist Physiotherapist/hand therapist working closely with numerous hand surgeons within Spire and accepting external referrals from multiple surgeons.
I have gained extensive experience in the management of hand and wrist trauma, pathologies including brachial plexus injuries. Further to my Physiotherapy specialism I am also the physiotherapy Team leader here at Spire Manchester and I am a hand Therapy foundation course trainer for Kinesio UK.
I have developed a hand therapy exercise App “CORE Hand” which is now in use within the Pulvertaft Hand Unit Derby.
