Virtual consultations:
I have been a Consultant Haematologist since 2005. I have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating various benign and malignant blood disorders including leukaemias, lymphomas and myelomas, and have been doing so since 1998.
I am the clinical lead in thrombosis and anti-coagulation in STHK NHS Trust. I am interested in studying and managing patients' risk of thrombosis, and I am the principal investigator for the first national trial looking at treating cancer induced thrombosis with the new oral anti-coagulant.
My background experience is in internal medicine which I studied from 1991 to 1998. This provides an excellent foundation in analysing patients symptoms and wider horizon in diagnosis and management.
I have published a wide range of research papers, case reports and textbook chapters and I pride myself in my level of clinical and patient care.
