Originally from Northern Ireland, I studied Medicine at Manchester University Medical School and completed my postgraduate training in the North West region. During this time I also undertook research into hormone replacement therapy and gynaecological cancer. I was appointed in June 2005 as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Tameside General Hospital, where I was the local Gynaecological Cancer and Colposcopy lead.
My special interests include, the modern management of the menopause and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. I am also certified to perform pelvic ultrasound scans.
