Dr Anya Leaver
MBChB, MRCGP (merit), DCH, DRCOG, DFFP
I have been a GP for over 19 years and in this time, as well as dealing with all aspects of general practice, have developed interests in women's health, family planning and children’s health.
In addition to general medicine and surgery, I have undertaken junior hospital jobs in plastic surgery, accident and emergency, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and rheumatology. I feel that communication skills are essential to being a good GP and I have recently complemented mine by undertaking a coaching qualification so that I can further support, help and empower my patients. I consistently score above the national benchmark in independent, anonymous, General Medical Council Patient Feedback Reports.
I am committed to providing excellent patient care and for the past decade I have worked as a GP appraiser, helping to ensure fellow doctors continuously improve the quality of their practice and meet the requirements for revalidation.
Since 2016 I have further developed my knowledge and interest in prescribing, by working as a Clinical Prescribing Advisor for Trafford CCG.
