Spire takes the prize at industry awards (again!)

16 June 2015

Spire Healthcare, parent company of Brentwood’s Spire Hartswood Hospital, has been named Hospital Group of the Year for the second year running at the 2015 HealthInvestor Awards.

The 2015 competition was fierce with award submissions up by 20% on last year, but despite this, Spire pipped six other organisations to the top spot.

The judges commented “Spire Healthcare has achieved a significant amount in 2014 and has exciting plans for 2015. The hospital group clearly delivers high quality care that exceeds the national average for clinical standards and award winning levels of patients’ expectations, whilst also investing in its facilities to ensure they are at the forefront of care, such as the new Cancer Centre.”

Spire Hartswood Hospital Director added: “We are delighted to have won the Hospital Group of the year again! Essex has a number of private hospitals and for Spire to stand out against our competitors reflects the efforts we make to bring together the best people who are dedicated to developing clinical excellence and delivering the highest quality patient care. Patients know that when they come to us they will be looked after and that we ensure the best healthcare outcome possible.”

This award ceremony on 10 June was run by trade publication, HealthInvestor, and is one of the main highlights in the health sector. Journalist and news presenter, Jeremy Vine, presented the awards, which were judged by a panel of independent judges.
