Spire Harpenden cyclists raise over £4000

28 July 2014

23 cyclists from Spire Harpenden Hospital took part in the ride from London to Cambridge on Sunday 27th July, cycling a distance of 60 miles (a staggering 1,380 miles between them).

Daniel Preston, who rode on a tandem, said “The day was well organised and fun, all the riders were supportive of each other which was great.  The course was challenging, but beautiful, and we were cheered on by locals on the route.”

The team raised over £4,000, with money still coming in, for the worthy cause of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, who save lives through improving early diagnosis, developing new treatments and preventing types of breast cancer.
