Children and young people's treatments

At Spire Edinburgh Hospitals, we offer treatments across a wide range of childhood illnesses and diseases including:

• Dental
• Ear, nose and throat (ENT) such as grommets, adenoids and tongue ties and more, but we currently do not have the facilities to treat tonsillectomy patients
• Eye treatment and surgery including squint repairs and more
• Gastroenterology
• General surgery including hernia repairs
• Orthopaedics including ACL reconstructions and meniscal repairs and more
• Plastics consultations and procedures including birthmarks, excision of lesions or ear pinnaplasties
• Radiology
• Urology problems and treatments including orchidopexies and circumcisions

We have a range of specialists who can see children and young people at either Murrayfield or Shawfair Park as an outpatient.  All day case procedures are carried out at Shawfair.

Who can be seen? 

• Birth–16 years old as outpatient appointments at both hospitals
• 3–16 years old as a day case at Spire Shawfair Park
