My clinical practice covers many aspects of adult dermatology including moles, skin cancer, acne, psoriasis and eczema.
I trained in Medicine and Dermatology in Manchester and Glasgow Universities. Over the past 20 years I have been involved in many aspects of research into causes of inflammatory skin disease and the development of new treatments for skin diseases. I have worked as a consultant dermatologist within the NHS since 1999 and am currently based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
I am a member of the examination board that sets the qualification examination for all consultant dermatologists, and sit on the editorial board of the British Journal of Dermatology.
I have published over 150 scientific papers in major medical journals and international dermatology textbooks over the past 25 years, particularly in relation to inflammatory skin disease and psoriasis.
