I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee problems and my main area of expertise is joint replacement surgery.
I regularly perform all forms of joint replacement including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, MAKO robotic assisted surgery and revision surgery for failed joint replacements. I also undertake arthroscopic knee surgery for patients with sports injuries and soft tissue problems such as meniscal or cartilage tears.
After completing orthopaedic training in Edinburgh, I undertook specialist fellowship training in MAKO robotic assisted hip and knee surgery in Brisbane, Australia. Following this I was appointed as a Consultant in the Arthroplasty Service at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
