I have a special interest in strokes and transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs), funny turns/dizzy spells, atrial fibrillation, hypertension and diseases that masquerade as strokes and mini strokes (TIAs). I am a member of the British & Irish Association of Stroke Physicians, European Stroke Organisation and Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.

I completed my specialist training in general internal medicine and stroke medicine in West of Scotland and East of Scotland respectively.

I have worked as a Consultant in Stroke Medicine and General Medicine at several Scottish NHS Trusts and York Hospital NHS Trust. I have been contributing actively to stroke research as a co-investigator in a few stroke clinical trials.
