I have been consultant in diabetes, endocrinology and general internal medicine at the Ministry of Defence and St John's Hospital in Livingston since 2022. I was awarded a PhD in the female endocrine effects of arduous military training in 2019 from the University of Edinburgh. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

My current clinical practice encompasses a wide range of endocrine conditions including thyroid disorders (under and overactive thyroid disease), adrenal insufficiency, adrenal nodules, male hypogonadism (testosterone deficiency), calcium disorders, pituitary disorders such as pituitary hormone under or overproduction and I am also the medical lead for the national Defence Medical Services/ NHS Lothian weight management service, LIMITLESS STRIDE.

My clinical practice also includes all aspects of type 1 and type 2 diabetes care and cardiovascular risk management. I have a specific interest in occupational elements of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic health and sports and exercise endocrinology. In particular, I am interested in helping individuals living with diabetes or obesity optimise their function in the workplace.
