Consultant Physician in Acute Medical unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, one of the busiest units in Scotland which is seen as a leader in its field, both nationally and internationally.
A specialist in acute medicine and all aspects of general medicine, with specific skills and interest in diagnosis of unusual or abnormal symptoms. These could range from chest pains, breathlessness, falls or faints. A specific speciality in DVT and pulmonary embolism.
Hypertension and postural hypotension along with stroke and transient ischaemic attacks (TIA) as well as other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular problems.
Symptoms which do not fall in to any specific disease category as well as chronic fatigue syndrome are also welcomed.
