Dr Lisa Dunkley

Consultant Rheumatologist

MBChB (Hons), FRCP, FHEA

Specialises in

I am a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, with a private practice at Spire Claremont Hospital.

My clinical special interest lies in sero-negative spondyloarthropathies (ankylosing spondylitis/ psoriatic arthritis/ arthritis associated with inflammatory bowel disease) and I also have a wider interest in medical education.

I qualified from Manchester University (1996) and undertook general medical training in the UK and Australia. When I returned to the UK I trained in Rheumatology in London and Leeds and was appointed as a Consultant Rheumatologist in Sheffield in 2008.

My research interest has been in selection of medical students and “widening participation”. I continue to work closely with the medical school in Sheffield, and I am Training Programme Director for postgraduate Rheumatology trainees in South Yorkshire.
