Blood type or blood group test at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital

It’s important to know your blood type.

Knowing which of the four blood groups you are in is important in certain professions, when travelling and if you ever require a blood transfusion. A simple test will help to identify your blood type.

Why you might need it

There are four basic groups of blood types - A, B, AB and O. Each of these will be either positive or negative.

If you require a blood transfusion your clinicians will need to know which of these groups you are. Having that information is useful for travellers and some professionals.

We pride ourselves on our clinical excellence, you'll be looked after by an experienced multi-disciplinary care team.
