Spire Healthcare invests over £750,000 in new outpatient clinic in King’s Lynn, West Norfolk
26 August 2025
Part of the purpose-built clinical building on the St James Medical Practice site in South Wootton, King’s Lynn is to become home to the new Spire Healthcare King’s Lynn Clinic. Comprising five consulting rooms and one outpatient treatment room the new clinic will offer a wide range of specialties for private patients and will provide hernia, orthopaedic and spinal services to NHS patients.
Due to open its doors in Autumn 2025 and deliver up to 1,700 outpatient appointments a year, King’s Lynn clinic will provide faster access to healthcare services and greater treatment choice to people across West Norfolk through one of two nearby Spire Hospitals in the East of England. Following outpatient consultation appointments at the clinic, if further treatment or surgery is required this will take place at either Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital or Spire Norwich Hospital and will be carried out under the care of the same consultant the patient saw at the King’s Lynn Clinic.
Spire King’s Lynn Clinic is part of a network of new Spire clinics being developed across Britain. By investing in new clinic facilities like this in West Norfolk, Spire Healthcare is broadening its community healthcare services to complement its 38 hospital sites across England, Wales and Scotland.
Helen Atkinson, Spire Healthcare’s Clinics Director said: “The development of Spire King’s Lynn Clinic is part of Spire’s efforts to provide easier access to high quality healthcare in the community. This means that more people can access diagnoses and relevant treatment more quickly, so they can get better, sooner.
Spire King’s Lynn Clinic will deliver more outpatient capacity within the region, creating more choice for patients as to where they receive their care. We are proud that through this new clinic and our two regional hospitals, we’re caring for growing numbers of NHS patients and by doing so, are helping to reduce the waiting lists. The opening of our new clinic will also create job opportunities for both admin and clinical staff. We cannot wait for the opening day.”
Once opened, Spire Healthcare’s King’s Lynn Clinic will have ample free car parking for patients and be located close to King’s Lynn train station. Local bus services also stop just outside the clinic.
