NEW OPENING PARGRAPH

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in the diagnosis and surgical management of endometriosis, including complex and deep infiltrating disease. I am the Director and Lead Gynaecologist of the BSGE‑accredited Endometriosis Centre of Excellence at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, providing multidisciplinary, evidence‑based care for women with endometriosis. The British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) accredits Centres of Excellence that meet strict national standards for the surgical management of complex endometriosis, including outcomes auditing, multidisciplinary working, and specialist expertise.

I specialise in the diagnosis and management of endometriosis, including superficial peritoneal endometriosis, ovarian endometriomas, and complex deep infiltrating endometriosis affecting the bowel, bladder, and pelvic nerves.

As part of the BSGE‑accredited Endometriosis Centre of Excellence, I work within a multidisciplinary team of specialist gynaecologists, colorectal surgeons, urologists, radiologists, pain specialists and endometriosis specialist nurses, ensuring care in line with national BSGE standards

I am a world class surgeon, and offer expert ultrasound diagnosis and management of gynaecological conditions and benign reproductive disorders. I am dedicated to helping women with endometriosis have a better quality of life and improving their fertility. I have won two international awards in the field of Endometriosis and Female Health Awareness in the USA.

I am a recognised international expert and European Board Certified Gynaecologist. I am regularly invited to speak at national and international congresses. I have a keen interest in teaching complex endometriosis surgery both in the UK and internationally. In 2019 I helped establish the Cambridge Endometriosis and Endoscopic Surgery Unit (CEES-U) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Addenbrooke's Hospital.

I graduated from Bologna University, Italy in 2009 and earned my PhD from the VUMC, Amsterdam in 2013. I was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecology Surgeon at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Negrar, Verona, Italy until 2016. I was then appointed at the Endometriosis Centre of Bologna University Hospital.

I have a strong academic interest and have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals in the fields of endometriosis and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Reviews of my care can be found on authorised, verified private healthcare information websites Top Doctors and on Doctify.
