I have been a Consultant Gynaecologist for the last 17 years. I trained in East of England and currently practice at Hinchingbrooke Hospital (Huntingdon), North West Anglia NHS Trust.
I have led the Colposcopy and Gynaecology Cancer MDT (Multi Disciplinary Team) service at the Trust for over 12 years.
My expertise lie in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical pre-cancer (CIN) with special interest in colposcopy and treatments under local anaesthetic. I offer diagnoses and treatment of early stage endometrial cancer, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and early stage endometriosis and vulval conditions such as lichen sclerosis and VIN.
I offer contraceptive advise and am an accredited laparoscopic surgeon offering laparoscopic surgery for 17 years. I am also an accredited hysteroscopist and offer one stop outpatient hysteroscopy and hysteroscopic procedures such as polypectomy and endometrial ablations. I have expertise in this for over 15 years and offer ultrasounds in clinic as part of a one stop assessment.
I am currently undergoing training in robotic-assisted surgery.
I have performed hundreds of major gynaecological procedures such as laparoscopic and open hysterectomies and removal of ovarian cyst. I run weekly hysteroscopy and colposcopy clinics and have performed over 500 outpatient procedures such as colposcopy, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, endometrial biopsy, coil insertions and excision of vulval lesions. I have key interest in the management of menstrual disorders and pelvic pain and
expertise in performing gynaecological transvaginal ultrasound scans.
I have held several leadership positions in and outside of the NHS trust in the last 17 years. I am currently the Divisional Director for the Division of Maternity Gynaecology and Breast for last 4 years.
I am currently the lead for the Gynaecology Cancer MDT and have been the Lead Colposcopist for over 10years.
I have held other leadership roles such as Clinical Lead, Trust Audit Lead, Trust Medical Advisory Committee Lead.
I was the Eastern Region Representative to the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.

I am a keen traveller and like to travel to far away places not on the beaten track. I live with my partner just outside of Cambridge. We enjoy trying various world cuisine and cinema. My elderly parent live in India who I support.
