Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Vascular Surgeon practising at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital in Cambridge, with over 30 years’ clinical experience. I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of venous and arterial disorders, delivering expert care for both medical and cosmetic vascular conditions.
My clinical practice focuses particularly on minimally invasive varicose vein surgery, including endovenous laser techniques and other advanced treatments, which allow for effective results with minimal downtime. I also treat thread veins, spider veins, red veins and facial veins, helping patients achieve both improved symptoms and cosmetic outcomes.
I manage a broad spectrum of vascular conditions, including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), peripheral vascular disease, phlebitis, leg swelling and venous eczema and venous ulceration. I also treat related concerns such as subcutaneous lumps, axillary hyperhidrosis and fascial compartment syndrome, alongside selected aspects of general surgery.
Over the course of my career, I have performed thousands of minimally invasive vascular procedures, making me one of the most experienced specialists in this field in the UK. My approach combines the latest techniques in endovascular surgery with a strong emphasis on patient comfort, safety and achieving the best possible clinical and cosmetic results.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also proud to be a senior anatomy demonstrator at the University of Cambridge. During my clinical and academic career I have won national and international awards, written several surgical textbooks and published over 120 scientific papers in British Journal of Surgery, Journal of Vascular Surgery, European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Phlebology.
