I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and sub-specialist in Gynaecological Oncology in Cambridge with over 14 years’ experience as a consultant, providing advanced care to patients across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas. I specialise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynaecological surgery using the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system, offering expert treatment for both benign and malignant gynaecological conditions at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.

I have a longstanding specialist interest in minimal access surgery and have been performing advanced laparoscopic procedures for more than 16 years. My expertise includes the management of a wide range of gynaecological conditions using minimally invasive techniques designed to enhance recovery and reduce complications.

I led the introduction of robotic surgery for gynaecological malignancies at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, establishing and developing the robotic surgical programme to support precision surgery and enhance recovery in complex oncological cases.

I also have a specialist interest in colposcopy. I have been an accredited colposcopist for over 16 years and have served as Lead Colposcopist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital for more than 8 years, overseeing service quality, training and clinical governance.

I provide specialist care for women with complex gynaecological conditions, combining oncological expertise with advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques. I specialise in the surgical management of uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and borderline conditions, cervical cancer and vulval cancer. I also manage pre-cancerous conditions of the uterus, cervix and vulva, with a focus on early diagnosis and timely treatment.

Where appropriate, I offer laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures. These include diagnostic procedures, adhesiolysis, ovarian cystectomy, removal of the tubes and/or ovaries, myomectomy, hysterectomy and excision of endometriosis.

I also undertake a range of day-case and outpatient procedures, including colposcopy, hysteroscopy as well as day-case procedures like hysteroscopic resection of polyps and fibroids, marsupialisation or excision of Bartholin’s gland.

To date, I have performed more than 900 minimally invasive hysterectomies and complex gynaecological procedures for both benign and malignant conditions. Over the past 15 years, I have also undertaken more than 800 major open procedures for various malignant and benign gynaecological conditions in both my NHS and private practice.
