I am Consultant Ophthalmologist with particular expertise in cataract and corneal surgery, including toric and premium intraocular lens use. I am the lead consultant for the Addenbrooke’s cataract service. I am also a surgical trainer for the East of England region, and train corneal surgical fellows at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2004, and the University of Oxford in 2007 in medicine. I completed comprehensive training in ophthalmology in Nottingham. I also had advanced subspecialist surgical training in corneal disease at fellowship level in Leicester, King's College London and the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. I learnt advanced cataract surgical techniques not routinely available in the UK at the top-ranked corneal hospital in India, the LV Prasad Eye Institute, as well as studying severe corneal infections and ocular surface disease.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and a member of the Bowman Cornea club. I am fully registered and revalidated by the General Medical Council.

I have published on safety in cataract surgery, advanced techniques for cataract surgery and ocular surface reconstruction, as well as novel findings in the field of corneal disease. I have been nominated for the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Annual Awards, and received a 'You made a difference' award for patient care.
