I am a Consultant Robotic General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Cambridge University Hospitals Trust. My sub-specialist interest is in robotic surgery for bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor disorders. Over 90% of all my major/complex surgery is performed minimally invasively. I have a large colonoscopy practice and am accredited in the UK Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
I routinely treat abdominal (inguinal, umbilical) hernias and proctological conditions such as haemorrhoids (THD), fistula (VAAFT), fissure (Botox®) and pilonidal sinus (EPSiT)
I completed my Doctorate in Philosophy (DPhil) at the University of Oxford undertaking laboratory based research into pelvic floor dysfunction. My higher surgical training was undertaken in London and Oxford with an international robotic surgery fellowship in South Korea before my substantive appointment in Cambridge.
