I am closely linked with the local university and have been a Royal College Tutor of Orthopaedics since 2009. I am currently on the Specialist Training Committee (STC) of KSS Deanery at Medway Hospital. I received an honorary professorship at Bombay University in 2014. I trained as an orthopaedic surgeon at Nair University Hospital in Bombay, India and have subsequently spent 10 years training in the UK at leading centres in Liverpool, Wigan and Sheffield. I gained the CCST in trauma and orthopaedics at Kings College, London, where in 2006 I also completed a Senior Clinical Fellowship in hand and upper limb surgery.
My clinical practice at Spire Alexandra Hospital focuses on common hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder conditions. My surgical expertise covers many common conditions such as carpal tunnel, dupuytren's contracture, tennis elbow, ganglion to arthroscopy of the wrist, elbow and shoulder. Other areas include surgery for arthritis of the thumb and joint replacement in the elbow and shoulder.
I have written a number of scientific papers on my research interests and maintain an academic profile with Honorary Fellowships at Kings and Imperial College, London.
