I am a Consultant ENT Head and Neck Surgeon working across Kent and Sussex. I provide head and neck cancer services as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery expertise at Medway Maritime Hospital. I concurrently undertake major surgery for head and neck and thyroid cancer in East Grinstead as a Consultant at the Queen Victoria Hospital.
My special clinical interests include: Head and neck (throat, tongue, larynx, salivary gland) cancer; thyroid swelling (Goitre); parathyroid surgery; swallowing problems and sore throat; pharyngeal pouch surgery; parotid surgery; tonsillitis; neck lumps; sinus problems and sinus surgery; blocked nose and septal surgery; ear infections; hearing loss and tinnitus; ear wax removal.
My other treatments include: Adenoidectomy; branchial cyst excision; endoscopic stapling of pharyngeal pouch; laser larynx; panendoscopy; parotid and salivary gland surgery; preauricular sinus excision.
I have performed over 2,000 ENT operations throughout my training and over 200 major head and neck resections as a fellow and consultant.
I am a fellowship trained ENT surgeon with an interest in head and neck surgical oncology and in general ENT. My fellowship training in head and neck surgery has allowed me to gain a deep understanding of oropharyngeal, laryngeal, salivary gland and thyroid disorders both malignant and benign.
I developed my interest in head and neck oncology whilst training across the East of England and the East Midlands, and undertook a fellowship in Head and Neck surgical oncology at University hospitals Sheffield as a nationally appointed Royal College of Surgeons Interface Head and Neck fellow. This experience gave me exposure to the full breadth of head and neck surgery gaining expertise alongside maxillofacial, plastic and endocrine surgeons in one of the UK’s largest specialist cancer centres.
