I am a Specialist Consultant in Orthopaedics and Trauma in Surrey and Sussex specialising in hip, knee and sports injury conditions. I am one of the region’s leading Robotic Surgery experts and am an invited speaker in the field.
I regularly manage hip and knee conditions along with sports injuries. I perform above average numbers of hip and knee replacements including Robotic surgery, partial knee replacement and hip resurfacing. I am also a specialist in redo joint replacement surgery. I also perform keyhole surgery and ligament reconstruction for soft tissue and sports injuries. I have an interest in joint preservation treatments for arthritis such as viscosupplementation and corrective osteotomy surgery.
As an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Brighton and Sussex, my patients appreciate the warmth, professional integrity, and open communication that define my medical practice. I’m determined to help my patients understand their own conditions so they can be well informed when making important decisions to improve their function.
I am a graduate of The Royal London Hospital Medical School, University of London. I was also awarded an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University. I have undertaken specialist fellowship training hip and knee surgery, pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery and limb reconstruction.
I have been an NHS Consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust since 2011.

COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at The Montefiore Hospital.
I have two young sons, so my main activity outside of work is trying to ensure that they don’t inflict serious harm on themselves when climbing, scooting, cycling and generally doing what young boys do.
Other hobbies include cycling, mountain biking and sailing.
