I worked as a substantive NHS Consultant Cardiologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust from 2010 to 2021. During this time, I served as Clinical Lead and Head of the Cardiology Department between 2016 and 2019, having previously held the role of Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Lead.

As a consultant, I provided comprehensive acute, emergency, and outpatient cardiology care, including delivering out‑of‑hours primary angioplasty for patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction. I managed high volumes of patients with a wide range of general cardiology conditions, including coronary artery disease, chest pain, valvular heart disease, palpitations, hypertension, and heart failure.

 

My specialist cardiology training was undertaken primarily at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, where I trained in all aspects of general and interventional cardiology. This included a dedicated year as an Interventional Cardiology Fellow in Brighton. I also completed a three‑year period of clinical research investigating coronary physiology under the supervision of Professor Redwood at St Thomas’ Hospital, leading to the award of my postgraduate degree.

Following completion of my specialist qualifications, I was awarded a competitive international interventional cardiology fellowship, which I undertook in Australia before returning to Sussex.

 

 

 

My special clinical interests include adult general cardiology, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, chest pain, breathlessness, angina, palpitations, heart failure, hypertension, interventional cardiology, and cardiac healthcare screening. I offer investigation and treatment of all cardiac complaints, including echocardiography and interventional cardiology procedures.

I am committed to providing holistic, individualised care, and I place great importance on being accessible and responsive to my patients.
