Professional profile

I started medical school at Imperial College, London in 1994. I took a gap year in 1997 to study pathology, and applied physiology as part of an intercalated BSc and was awarded 1st class honours.

I qualified as a doctor in 2000 (MB BS). Following house jobs I started core medical training completed on Guy's and St Thomas' Medical and Critical Care rotations.

Prior to starting formal cardiology training, I undertook a period of research (MD) undertaken at Kings College, London in vascular biology and cardiovascular risk.

I undertook Cardiology training on the London and South Thames training program.

After three years of general cardiology I started subspecialty training in coronary and structural heart intervention at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
