I found myself looking after a very sick friend for the past six weeks. She had many tests i.e. gastroscopy, colonoscopy, biopsy and CAT scan, with nothing being found at Southend Hospital.
After waiting and waiting for a follow up appointment, I managed to convince her to call Spire Wellesley Hospital. She was a frightened lady by this time as she had lost two and a half stone and couldn’t eat.
She found herself speaking to Debbie Kilkelly (Treatment Enquiry Adviser) and she was so kind and understanding and was ready to listen to all of her problems. After this she kindly made an appointment for her to see Dr Bray in a very short time. She is now content that things are moving forward with the new tests.
While I was at Spire Wellesley Hospital I spoke to Debbie with a minor problem of my own, and once again was treated with the upmost patience, reassurance and help.
