The Wellesley is a very comfortable and clean hospital. They have friendly staff who kept me informed every step of the way. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, which eased my anxiety.

My Consultant was very understanding and presented both the worst, and best case scenarios. He showed me a video of the work he'd be doing, so I had a full understanding of what was going to be done, and what to expect in the healing process. He understood the type of surgery I didn't want and did exactly what he said he would do. His comments and suggestions at the consultation gave me confidence that he had my best interests at heart.

The nurse who took me to theatre was particularly warm and friendly. She kept me distracted and made me laugh right up to the point where I was anaesthetised, which really helped keep me calm. I bumped into her again as I was being discharged, and she stopped to ask how I was feeling. That small gesture made my day.
