I had a gastric bypass on 1 July 2017. I have had continuing care from Mr Mannur, Claire Price the bariatric nurse and Gail the dietitian, who are always available should I need them or have any queries.
I started my journey at 26 stone 12 pounds and I am currently at 12 stone 9 pounds. So I have lost 14 stone 3 pounds and I am now just over a stone away from my goal. I cannot praise the bariatric team at the Wellesley enough. I feel like I have been given my life back. I am now able to do so many things that were impossible for me. I am very fit now, physically, and I can run! Something I hadn't done in over 30 years.
My life has changed immeasurably singe my operation. My only regret is not doing it sooner! I have gone from a size 32-34 clothing to 12-14 and I am still losing.
