Chemotherapy Nurse (FTC)

Spire Wellesley Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse on a Fix Term Contract (9 months) to cover Maternity leave.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in Oncology Day Chemotherapy Centre.
You will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.
You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices and plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced oncology registered nurse with relevant competencies in chemotherapy administration, venepuncture and cannulation to join a Chemotherapy Day Care unit that will provide a breadth of experience across the oncology and haematology specialties.

Theatre Practitioner (First Assistant)

Spire Wellesley Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Surgical First Assistant, to join our expanding team. You will support across a variety of operations including Orthopaedics, ENT and Gynaecology. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
If you are a Theatre Practitioner with surgical first assistant experience and looking for a role where you can build a diverse range of clinical skills this is the place for you, we provide a very wide range of surgical procedures, ranging in complexity and acuity. Our theatre teams also work closely with some of the region's leading consultants and are exposed to the latest innovative, evidence -based clinical techniques. Our real driving force is our ability to invest in our people, as we support our Theatre staff to build their skills through mentoring and formal training. You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices and plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members. 
Who we are looking for:
Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with extensive Surgical First Assistant experience, have completed a ‘Surgical First Assistant Course’ and be used to working in teams with minimum supervision. Competent across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through a practitioner qualification, additional training is also desirable.

You will be a Registered Nurse used to working with minimum supervision and experience of working in an Acute environment. A surgical background is desirable but we are happy to consider Nurses with an interest in developing their experience in this field.
