Professional profile

I have been a consultant General surgeon for fifteen years. I mange over 150 breast cancer cases year and have developed and run a very successful local paediatric general surgery service. I am approachable and as a busy mother understand a lot about the dynamics of managing health problems and women within family life and use this knowledge to provide holistic needs based care.

The treatments I undertake are breast assessment and surgery of all types for benign and malignant conditions both in women and men except cosmetic and reconstructive procedures (although I have very good relationships with local plastic surgeons).

Paediatric general surgery - problems with foreskin, hernias, toenails and paediatric urology: scrotal problems and circumcision, hernia and gallbaldder surgery and assessment.

I carry out over 150 surgeries for breast cancer each year and have done over 100 circumcisions and paediatric hernia repairs.

I am the joint Clinical Director of Surgery at Southend I am the current Paediatric and Breast Lead for Surgery I am the Core Surgical Programme Director for East of England

I also provide a one-stop breast clinic service at Spire Wellesley Hospital for those who have concerns regarding their breast health.
