MB BS, BSc, MBA, FRCP
I qualified in 2001, and have been a consultant since 2012. As I am dual accredited in renal and general medicine, I have seen a variety of patients both in the inpatient and outpatient setting, providing renal and general medicine input.
I have a special interest in hypertension, and ran such a service in my previous job, and in setting up a service locally in Southend. I currently manage a variety of nephrology patients requiring specialist renal input including electrolyte disturbance, proteinuria, microscopic haematuria, renal diabetes, renal anaemia, chronic renal failure, acute kidney injury, long term transplant management and those requiring renal replacement therapy (dialysis).
I have recently relocated to Southend Hospital. In my previous job at Kings College Hospital, I have held various leadership roles. I have been Clinical Director for Medicine and Emergency Care as well as clinical lead for acute medicine and ambulatory care. I have also been the clinical lead for Infection control in Medicine.
