MRCOG MD
I am a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist with over 27 years in the field, specialising in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, including robotic-assisted and laparoscopic procedures. Recognised internationally as a leader in robotic gynaecology, I am known for my patient-centred, holistic approach and consistently excellent surgical outcomes. Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, I offer compassionate, culturally sensitive care, which has helped me become a trusted choice for patients seeking expert gynaecology services in London. My strengths include extensive experience in complex gynaecological conditions, pioneering work in same-day robotic hysterectomy, and a warm, clear communication style that prioritises patient comfort, confidence, and understanding.
I specialise in managing endometriosis, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, irregular or heavy menstrual bleeding, and fertility-related challenges. My clinical practice includes advanced robotic surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, endometriosis excision, ovarian cyst management, and minimally invasive treatment of both benign and complex conditions affecting the womb, cervix, ovaries, vulva, and vagina. I am highly skilled in managing hereditary cancer risk, including BRCA1, BRCA2, and Lynch syndrome (HNPCC), and I provide expert care for PCOS, PMS, PMDD, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, and a wide range of hormonal and menstrual disorders. Through my one-stop diagnostic clinics, I offer rapid assessment for vulval abnormalities, cervical and womb concerns, abnormal discharge, postcoital bleeding, abnormal smears, and painful intercourse, ensuring patients receive timely, thorough, and compassionate care.
Across my career, I have performed more than 2,000 robotic procedures, including over 750 robotic hysterectomies, placing me among the most experienced robotic gynaecological surgeons in the UK. My surgical outcomes : a 99% same-day discharge rate, less than a 1% complication rate, and zero conversions to open surgery, reflect my commitment to safety, precision, and innovation. Having trained in both the USA and the UK, I have helped transform robotic hysterectomy into a safe and effective day-case procedure, significantly improving patient recovery and overall experience. My extensive hands-on expertise and consistently excellent results position me as a trusted choice for those seeking advanced, minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
In addition to my private clinical practice, I serve as an NHS Consultant at St George's University Hospital, where I lead the robotic gynaecological programme. I am the founder and former director of the Northern Centre for Endometriosis, where I guided the service to national accreditation and helped improve outcomes for patients with complex endometriosis. I currently hold the position of Chair of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), which reflects my ongoing commitment to advancing minimally invasive gynaecology. As an international trainer, educator, and speaker, I have trained the majority of robotic gynaecological surgeons in the UK and delivered advanced surgical training across Europe and the Middle East. I am known for my warm communication style and my dedication to shared decision-making.

I'm passionate about providing clinical excellence with a blend of humour, warmth, and genuine kindness. Growing up with four sisters taught me to treat every patient with the same respect and attentiveness I'd want for my own family. I chose gynaecology because it brings together my love of surgery and my commitment to achieving the best outcomes for women, and because I'm able to help healthy women live their lives to the fullest. Outside of work, I'm a family man who enjoys sunny climates, has a love for fashion, and is a connoisseur of fine perfume.
