Mr Sharif is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, specialising in Shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist surgery.
He completed research at the University of London. His higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics was at the Yorkshire deanery. He trained in busy teaching hospitals like the LGI gaining excellent experience in both Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics. After that he joined the Kings College hospital completing two senior training fellowships. He was also a visiting fellow at Columbus Ohio USA.
Mr Khalid Sharif is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Shoulder and Elbow Society and the British Society of Surgery of the Hand. He has presented research in national and international venues and is widely published in the field of Trauma and Orthopaedics.
He is experienced in treating shoulder conditions like impingement, frozen shoulder, and inflammation and tears of the rotator cuff and has successfully carried out many shoulder arthroscopies with excellent results. He is also experienced in treating hand and wrist conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture and their revisions, trigger fingers, base of thumb arthritis arthritis of the wrist and small joints of the hand. He has successfully carried out many wrist arthroscopy as well as knee arthroscopy with excellent results.
Mr Khalid Sharif is a fellow of and trainer at the Royal College of Surgeons, he is on the GMC specialist register.
