Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Vivian Ejindu at Spire include:
I am a consultant radiologist with a specialist interest in musculoskeletal imaging. I completed my general radiology training at Imperial College healthcare NHS trust and continued to develop my subspecialist interest by undertaking a clinical fellowship at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals. I was appointed to a consultant post at St George’s Hospital in 2010, where I am the subspecialty lead radiologist.
I have a broad experience in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging and a particular interest in sports injury. I perform image guided procedures such as joint injection, aspiration and biopsy as well as more complex procedures such as barbotage for calcific tendonpathy and hydrodilatation for frozen shoulder.
I have eight years of subspeciality experience in musculoskeletal imaging, working in a major regional orthopaedic referral centre as a fellow and a major trauma centre as a consultant in my current post. I report/perform approximately 1,500 musculoskeletal MRIs and 1,000 diagnostic and interventional ultrasounds per year in my NHS practice.
I am MRI clinical lead and MSK imaging lead at St George's Hospital, London.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a committed medical educator at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in my role as a lecturer for St George's University Medical School. I am also a clinical supervisor in the St George's radiology training scheme for both junior and senior subspecialty training blocks.
I regularly teach MSK radiology at commercial courses around the UK and I have had several publications in peer reviewed radiological and rheumatological journals.

I have a keen interest in sports, both playing and spectating in my spare time. I love walking in both urban and rural environments and enjoy cycling in the open countryside. My other passions include architecture, technology and sustainability.Back to top
