Dr Ghazavi is an enthusiastic dermatologist with a desire for dermatology challenges. Before his training in dermatology he achieved precious experiences in tropical medicine including cutaneous leishmaniasis in a hyperendemic area.
His special interest in rare skin diseases and common conditions with unusual presentations has led to a number of publications in peer review journals and presentations in international conferences. Consequently he has been awarded from well-known dermatology societies such as British Association of Dermatologists and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He is currently involved in a number of academic activities including reviewing the case report manuscripts submitted to British Medical Journal for publication.
His research interest is focused on patients suffering from under reported debilitating conditions. For example, his recent study was on Hidradenitis Suppurativa, which is a under recognized disease and significantly affects on social and personal life in more than one percent of general population.
In addition to general dermatology and skin surgery (for both benign lesions and skin cancer), Mohammad has been developing his cosmetic dermatology skills over years. It includes needling techniques and different laser devices to treat patients with acne scarring, vascular lesions, ageing and pigmentation of the skin. His injectable skills include Botox injection (for active facial wrinkles, facial asymmetry and frontal and palmo plantar hyperhidrosis) and advanced filler techniques such as advanced 8 point approach for non-surgical face lifting, skin hydration and rejuvenation.
