Musculoskeletal ultrasound, specifically for acute sports injuries. Ultrasound guided injections to joints and peritendinous injections, dry needling, high volume injections, hydrodilatation, and hip and shoulder MRI Arthrograms. Carpal tunnel treatment, ganglion removal.
I am a Consultant General and Musculoskeletal Radiologist and am a member of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists (BSSR). I have a special interest in sports injuries and I was part of the team of Radiologists working at the World Paraathletics and IAAF World Athletics Championships in London 2017. I helped support players from the Pakistan Cricket Team during their Tour of England in 2016. I am the Lead Radiologist for the Bluesfest Lacrosse Tournament, which is the largest of its kind in Europe. I regularly visit a renowned Championship Football Club to help provide diagnostic imaging support. I am a Visiting Reader in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Surrey and am involved in a PhD project. I am a member of the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and the Football Association Medical Society (FAMS). I am helping Spire St Anthony's to set up a Specialist Integrated Musculoskeletal Sports Injury Clinic and will be the Lead Radiologist for the service.
I have a special interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging involving ultrasound, CT and MRI, including ultrasound-guided interventions. I have a particular interest in sports injuries and have had experience of imaging of acute injuries using ultrasound, CT and MRI. I am able to perform a wide range of ultrasound-guided interventions including intra-articular injections such as for arthrograms and hydrodilatations, peritendinous and bursal injections, aspirations and carpal tunnel and trigger finger releases.
I have performed over 1,500 ultrasound scans last year, including a wide range of interventional procedures. I performed approximately 60 arthrograms a year.
I am soon to take up a role as a Visiting Reader in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Surrey to to be involved in a PhD project.
I am on the teaching faculty for the London School of Regional Anaesthesia Course, which attacts attendees from across the world. I am a teacher on the King's College Hospital FRCR 2B course. I deliver lectures and practical teaching sessions on musculoskeletal ultrasound.
I am helping to set up a new Integrated Sports Injury Clinic at Spire St Anthony's Hospital which will adopt a multidisciplinary approach to provide patients with a high quality service.

I like to spend time with my wife and children and shuttling them between their extensive extracurricular clubs! I enjoy participating in a range of sports particularly football and cricket but increasingly more of a spectator these days!Back to top
