Specialises in
I have been a GP for a number of years having qualified as a pharmacist first. I graduated from UCL School of Pharmacy and then trained and worked at Walgreen Boots as a pharmacist and manager and worked as a locum pharmacist to fund my medical schooling.
I then graduated from St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Medical School in Central London with my primary medical degree, where some of my teachers were pioneers in their fields and this was followed by Foundation Years training in London and the South East in Southend, Leigh-on-Sea and South Essex covering a wide range of specialities including respiratory medicine, urology, emergency medicine, care of the elderly, and neonatology.
I did my General Practice Vocational training in Watford and the surrounding West Herfordshire area covering a broad range of specialities giving me a broad training with breadth of specialities to make me an all round general practitioner, these included obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, dermatology and genito-urinary medicine. I spent my registrar year in a small town practice in Rickmansworth.
I worked in a modern primary care centre in North London before becoming a partner in my current practice. My practice is involved in the teaching of medical students where we encourage future doctors to become GPs, we also train primary care pharmacists, primary care paramedics and physician associates. I am the Clinical Pharmacist Supervisor for the local primary care network. My practice has recently led on local diabetes care and on LGBT Clinic.
My broad training and experience allows me to take a personalised and holistic approach as I have worked in a variety of settings and have encountered patients from a wide range of backgrounds, this avoids a one-size fits all approach and can address your individual ideas, concerns and expectations.
