I am a Consultant in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and General Medicine with a specialist interest in digestive diseases and obesity- related gastrointestinal disorders. I have specialised in the field of Gastroenterology since 2013. I have been complimented by numerous colleagues and patients for my holistic and compassionate approach.
I regularly review patients with gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, reflux, indigestion and bloating. I also manage patients with chronic conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn’s Disease), irritable bowel syndrome and liver diseases (including fatty liver disease).
I am a JAG- accredited endoscopist and regularly perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies of the upper GI (Gastroscopy) and lower GI (colonoscopy) tract.
I qualified from the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth in 2007. I completed my MSc in Gastroenterology from Queen Mary’s, University of London and was awarded a distinction for my final dissertation. I completed my specialist training across Sussex and South London.
I am a recipient of ‘The Alistair Mcintyre Prize’ (British Society of Gastroenterology) as well as the ‘SCOPE’ certificate (World Obesity Federation).
I have published multiple journal articles and presented my work at national and international meetings. I work as a consultant at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust where I regularly perform endoscopy and see patients in outpatient clinics. My other roles within the trust include being an Educational Supervisor, RCP College Tutor, British Liver Trust Champion as well as Principal Investigator in an ongoing national research study.
