I studied medicine in Athens where I subsequently trained in General Surgery in big, busy hospitals. I moved to the UK in 2004 where I received further training at London University Hospitals (St George's Hospital and Mayday) and at Eastbourne District General Hospital. I became a consultant in Eastbourne in 2010.
I then moved to Southampton in 2013 where I was appointed as Consultant Acute General Surgeon at University Hospital Southampton. Together with my colleagues, I have been developing the delivery of a first class service in acute general surgery for the population of Southampton and a large part of south Hampshire.

Personal profile
I grew up in Athens where I received private education at a Greek-French school. I got married in the UK and am fortunate to have two lovely young children. I spend most of my free time with my family. I enjoy theatre and watching live opera and ballet. I also enjoy cooking and gardening.
