I am experienced in treating a wide variety of foot and ankle disorders and sports injuries. I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in foot and ankle disorders at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004.
I graduated from St John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India in 1989 before completing my Basic and Higher Surgical training in the UK. This included a one year Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery / Limb Reconstruction in Melbourne, Australia in 2003/4. I was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2003 and have been on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council since February 2005.
I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, sport and travelling.
A keen sportsman myself, I have represented Bangalore University in Football and was captain of my medical school team in football and hockey.
I have represented a variety of hockey teams in the RAF - at Station, Command, 2nd XI and currently Masters level. I continue to play Masters hockey for United Services Hockey Club, Portsmouth, where I have also served as Club Chairman (2006-2015). I am a member of the Hampshire Hockey Umpires' Association and am a qualified Hampshire hockey umpire (Level 1).
I also enjoy watching cricket and football.
