I am an upper limb consultant surgeon who specialises in treating shoulder, elbow and hand conditions, using keyhole and open surgical techniques.
I treat common hand, elbow, and shoulder conditions that cause pain, stiffness, or weakness. This includes carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and Dupuytren’s contracture in the hand, as well as shoulder problems such as rotator cuff tears, instability, and arthritis. Treatments range from joint injections and keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery to shoulder replacement when needed, with care tailored to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
I was appointed to the University of Southampton Foundation Trust in 2016, where I offer a tertiary referral service to the surrounding regions. My surgical passion is arthroscopic surgery and I am currently working on combining this with my research passion of stem cells.
I am currently the orthopaedic undergraduate lead for the University of Southampton.
