Mervyn Mason came to Spire Parkway Hospital for a shoulder cuff and bicep repair operation with Mr Salama. Whilst finding his experience here comforting as Mervyn felt in safe hands for his operation, his post-op experience was just as important.

"Following my operation at Spire Parkway, one of my wounds struggled to heal and I contacted Parkway for some advice. I was again seen at Parkway and treated on a daily basis to ensure my wound healed. I had to undergo a second operation; this operation was carried out by my original consultant Mr Salama. I am pleased to say everything is proceeding in the right direction."

Throughout Mervyn’s procedure, the continuity of care has been crucial, seeing the same consultant for his second operation and receiving regular ongoing support after his operation. Mervyn felt he was in a very "friendly and welcoming environment" in which staff were "expert in the way they dealt with my problem".

"Many thanks to all the departments, including the nursing staff who were outstanding, especially in the concern they showed for me", says Mervyn.

Mervyn was left feeling happy and cared for on an individual level during his time at Spire Parkway Hospital. He is now on his way to a full recovery, and we wish him all the best.
