I have specialised in paediatrics since 1987, and was first appointed as a full time NHS consultant in 1997 at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Currently I work as a Consultant Paediatrician at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust where I jointly lead a team of Community Paediatricians.
I am a Designated Paediatrician for Unexpected Infant Deaths for Nottingham and Undergraduate Coordinator for Community Paediatrics. I regularly hold lectures at the University of Nottingham Medical School.
My current responsibilities involve directing the Child Health Surveillance programme for GP trainees across Nottingham. I am able to see children of all ages including newborns up to age 18.
Research interests centre around childhood obesity and training of undergraduate and postgraduate doctors.
