BSc MBChB, MD(Res), FRCP(UK)
I have been a trusted consultant interventional and structural cardiologist since 2017 at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. I specialise in listening to patients and treating coronary artery disease as well as structural heart conditions, including performing TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) and PFO closure. My work focuses on minimally invasive procedures that help improve symptoms, reduce risk and support patients in returning to a better quality of life. I aim to provide clear explanations, timely care and a personalised approach so patients feel listened to, informed, reassured and confident throughout their treatment.
As a Physician first, the basics of listening to our patients and examining is key to reaching the correct diagnosis. My work includes performing coronary angiography and angioplasty (stent procedures), intravascular imaging, physiological assessment of coronary arteries, TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) for aortic valve disease, and PFO closure for patients with PFO related strokes. I focus on minimally invasive treatments that aim to improve symptoms, reduce future risk and support long‑term heart health.
I am a competent cardiologist and have safely performed over 2000 cardiovascular procedures which spans over years of training and operating as a consultant for 10 years. As an interventional cardiologist I focus on coronary angiograms, angioplasty(stents); Structural Heart disease, TAVI and PFO closure using the up to date methods and in line with MDT approval.
I thoroughly enjoy my NHS Consultant position and have been Junior Doctor lead for Cardiology. I have also clinically led the implementation of e-prescribing (EPMA) in the trust which has reduced the admin burden on many doctors and made prescribing safer for our patients. In healthcare it is very important to be a team player as more than one person is involved in a successful patient journey.

There are many aspects that I enjoy doing in my spare time, such amateur gardening and frequent home DIY projects. However, the time spent with family is the most fulfilling, as well as escaping into a long novel.
