I have been a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich for 22 years and am an expert in surgery of oesophageal and gastric cancers, laparoscopic and bariatric (weight loss) surgery.

At Spire Norwich I have been performing weight loss surgery for over 12 years together with our dedicated multidisciplinary team. I also specialise in laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, hiatus hernia, and abdominal hernias, together with local anaesthetic inguinal hernia repair.

To date I have performed over 3,000 cholecystectomies, over 2,000 inguinal hernia repairs, 340 bariatric operations and over 550 major oesophagogastric cancer operations in both my NHS and private practice.

I am the General Surgery representative on the medical advisory committee (MAC) at Spire Norwich Hospital.

In addition to my clinical work, I am an honorary senior lecturer at the Norwich Medical School and honorary professor at St Georges Medical School, Grenada.
