I am a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgeon with over 20 years’ surgical experience. I specialise in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, supporting patients with a wide range of general and colorectal conditions.
My main areas of practice include gallbladder removal (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) and hernia repair, including inguinal, umbilical, incisional and more complex or recurrent hernias. I also treat colorectal conditions such as bowel cancer, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease, providing both surgical and non-surgical care where appropriate.
In addition, I perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including colonoscopy and gastroscopy, to investigate symptoms and support early diagnosis and treatment.
My approach focuses on patient safety, clear communication and helping people make informed decisions about their care. I aim to use minimally invasive techniques wherever possible to support faster recovery and improved outcomes.
Alongside my clinical work, I have been involved in service leadership and medical education, including supporting and supervising junior doctors. I remain committed to maintaining high standards of care and continuous professional development.
