MBChB, BSc (Hons), FRCA, FFPMR
I am a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine with a specialist expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of chronic pain conditions.
I have extensive experience treating a range of pain disorders including neuropathic (nerve) pain, spinal pain, complex regional pain syndrome, musculoskeletal pain, and pelvic pain syndromes. My clinical interests include interventional pain management, ultrasound guided procedures and neuromodulation techniques for patients with refractory pain.
I have performed over 300 chronic pain interventions including medial branch block injections for back pain and radiofrequency ablation of the lumbar facet and sacroiliac joints. I utilise a number of epidural techniques for nerve pain in upper and lower limbs. I use ultrasound guided techniques for shoulder pain and nerve blocks for localised pain.
I am committed to a holistic, evidence-based approach, combining interventional approaches with rehabilitation, psychological strategies and lifestyle optimisation to help patients regain function and improve quality of life.
I have a strong interest in teaching and service development, regularly contributing to training for anaesthetic and pain medicine trainees. I remain active in audit and quality improvement with the aim of providing the best practice in pain medicine.
I regularly attend both national and international courses to ensure up to date knowledge and information for patients. I am eligible for the UK credential in Pain Medicine after completing my exams and my Advanced Pain Training.

I enjoy playing golf in my spare time, always trying to work on bringing down my high handicap. I play the guitar and love getting lost in a good book with a nice cup of tea. I like to spend quality time with my family and enjoy discovering new places on walks with my Cavapoo.
