Our Oncology team

First and foremost our dedicated team recognise that being diagnosed with cancer is one of the toughest things most of us will ever face. Our team’s purpose is to provide excellent clinical care, personal support and expert information.

The team consists of five highly experienced oncology consultants and four haematology consultants who all work at the Leicester Royal Infirmary in the NHS. Other consultants can refer into the hospital to any of these consultants listed below.

Our chemotherapy service is consultant led and therefore the consultant oncologists review patients at each treatment and are available by phone at all times. Supporting the oncologists are two chemotherapy nurse specialists, three chemotherapy nurses, chemotherapy trained pharmacists and consultants specialising in pain management. We have direct links with LOROS and the NHS trust for radiotherapy.
