I have been a Consultant Urological Surgeon since October 2006. As well as providing a general urology service I sub-specialise in complex stone surgery and laser prostate surgery (TURP) and therefore I receive referrals for such complex surgery from colleagues within Leicester and from the East Midlands.
I specialise in general urology with specific interest in stone surgery and laser prostate surgery (TURP). I also specialise in performing transperineal template prostate biopsies for the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
I have performed over 800 laser stone surgeries, more than 700 laser prostate surgeries as well as in excess of 500 transperineal template prostate biopsies.
From August 2009 until April 2015 I was the lead urological surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester. Over the past four years I have been the Medical Advisory Committee urology representative at Spire Leicester Hospital.
I am committed to research and in particular prostate cancer research. As such, since March 2012 I have been a visiting professor at Van Geest Cancer Centre, Nottingham Trent University.
I am an examiner for the FRCS (Urol) examination and am a Royal College of Surgeons Assessor for urology consultant appointments.
I am committed to education and regularly give academic lectures on various urology topics, both at a regional and national forums.

I am the visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching the Leicester Tigers with my son. I also enjoy travelling and experiencing the wonderful different cultures throughout the world.
